How do I post a message?

Email postings should be of a practical, social, cultural, spiritual, personal or entertainment-related nature. We do not accept politically oriented emails, or emails requesting money for charities. Should you wish to post a business or professional-related email, please click here.

To post emails you must be a member of the community (failing which the posting will be bounced back). Simply send a short email with the subject line formatted as described below to: QuentinsNewYorkFriends@yahoogroups.com from the email address at which you receive your Quentin's Friends emails. Depending on the overall volume of emails we receive, it may take up to 72 hrs for your email to be sent out to the rest of the community, so please be patient (please do not re-post or contact us to query why it has not been sent, unless at least 72hrs have passed). We try to give priority to time-sensitive emails.

If the email subject line is not correctly formatted, it will be rejected.

FORMATTING YOUR SUBJECT LINE:

Please do not include CAPITALS in the subject line - it offends people...
Make the subject line as clear/explanatory as possible - it is what will make people open your email, so think about it(!)

Job Offer:
Invite:
Recommend:
Personal:
Thanks:

Please include your FULL NAME in the body of your email – we are a community of friends so we don't hide behind anonymity!

  • Please keep the emails friendly, polite and if possible amusing!
  • Remember to cut off any previous email messages that may be lingering under your message.
  • Do not include any forwarded emails in your posting - especially not as attachments.
  • SAY THANK YOU to other members who help you out. If you receive too many emails to thank people individually then send an email to all of Quentin's Friends to say thank you.

Messages are 'moderated' & we reserve the right to edit/not post emails if we feel they are not appropriate.
