Our new ‘Daily Digest’ will sort the postings by category, with the more ‘general interest’ postings near the top – such as ‘Miscellaneous Seeking or Offered’ and the more specific subjects – such as Real Estate lower down. This will greatly improve the readability of the postings.

The new digest will be broadcast every business day at 4.30 with all the messages approved within the previous 24hrs. To be maximize your chance of being included, please post before midday.

Quentin’s Friends holds regular ‘official’ events. In addition our members organize & recommend dozens of events – parties, benefits, live music, seminars, tele-conferences, webinars, art-openings etc.

In the past it was challenging to keep track of the vast array of events that members post. Now, when someone posts an event to Quentin’s Friends, in addition to being broadcast in the daily postings to the community, the event will also be included in a weekly ‘Events Digest’ (broadcast on Tuesdays – Monday 5.p.m. deadline for inclusion) & in the Events Calendar where you can download the event information to your Outlook calendar - or any calendar that can accepts vCalendar Files (they end with ‘.vcs’). You can view the Events Calendar as list, day, month or year, and search by type of event.

Over the last few years, Quentin’s Friends members have posted over 4,000 recommendations to the community. These recommendations are now available on the site & easily searchable. So if you are looking for a doctor, dentist, lawyer, mover, cleaner, accountant, business/life coach, web designer, jeweler or something more unusual, be sure to check there first!

Quentin’s Friends Members include a very diverse group of dynamic, international, interesting, accomplished, knowledgeable and helpful people. By setting up your Member Profile, you can tell members more about yourself – upload your photo, include your personal information & hobbies, your professional background & activities, your affiliations, your house swap preferences etc.
You can also, of course, search other members’ profiles by ‘Quick’, ‘Professional’, ‘Dating’ or ‘Advanced’ (field by field match) search. So if you are just browsing for fun, or you are looking for a member with certain expertise or connections, this is the place to look.
You can also offer and receive Testimonials, ‘Q’nnect’ with a fellow member or offer a fellow member a ‘ThankQ’.
Other members will be able to click to your profile when you post or reply to posts, so be sure to complete your profile & keep it up-to-date!
Member Profiles automatically show all the postings a member has sent to the community, their inviter, invitees and join date.

One of our founding values is ‘Gratitude’. A ‘ThankQ’ is a great way to say a quick, public thank you to a fellow member. This could be for a helpful posting or response you have received. It is a short thank you message which will appear on a member’s profile under their name represented by a ‘Q’. It can be read by any member who visits the profile by mousing over the ‘Q’.

The more ‘ThankQ’ messages a member receives the higher their ‘ThankQ’ ranking will be – which will in turn indicate how generous/helpful they have been.

In addition to our Recommendations Archive there are 10,000’s of other messages in our archives. Starting at your ‘my hQ’ You can search all the messages or search in a specific category e.g. ‘For Sale’ or ‘Job Offers’ over specific dates (such as ‘last 30 day’s’), by member etc.

Wondering where your posting is? Forget a vital piece of information? In ‘My Own Postings’ you can view the status of your current postings – ‘pending moderation’, ‘approved pending broadcast’, ‘broadcast’ etc. This allows you to edit and re-submit an old or pending message. You can also choose to hide postings from your profile if you wish.

You can now easily review your billing information or your payment history and thus, easily keep your credit card information up-to-date and check when your membership dues will next be charged etc.

By simply visiting ‘My Member Preferences’ you can easily change your email address, switch between ‘Daily Digest’ and ‘Individual Emails’ or between ‘Plain Text’ and ‘Fully Formatted’/HTML emails or temporarily suspend email reception – e.g. if you are going on vacation.

When you invite friends to enjoy a Free Trial Month, they receive an email from you inviting them to join. We offer you a suggested email template which you can customize/personalize on a one-off basis or save for future use. Your invitee will then just need to click on the link provided in the email to start his/her Trial Membership.
